Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.

Welcome to my WebPage!

I am Catherine Eloranto, an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Clinton Community College.  I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Arizona in 1985.  I graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1988 and pursued a career as a prosecuting attorney.  After nine years as a prosecuting attorney and one year as a criminal court judge, I left the desert of Arizona and moved to the shores of Lake Champlain in northern New York.  I continued my career as a prosecuting attorney for nearly two years before accepting my current position.  In May of 2008, I received a Masters of Art in Criminal Justice from the University at Albany.

This semester (Summer 2008) I will be teaching Introduction to Sociology.  In addition I teach Juvenile Delinquency at Plattsburgh State.  For information about these classes, simply click on the icons above.

If you wish to contact me, simply click on my name below and send me an email.

Remember in academics as well as in life in general:

"Attitude is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes....We cannot change our past, we cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play on one string we have, and that is our attitude....We are in charge of our attitudes."     Charles Swindoll
