MAT 204 - College Algebra and Trigonometry II  - 4 credits

This course is the second of a two-semester sequence designed to prepare students for calculus. Course topics include the study of polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions; trigonometric identities and equations; oblique triangles; polar coordinates; and conic sections. If time permits, systems of equations and matrices will be covered.  The use of the graphing calculator is required for this course to further the exploration of these topics and their applications.  Near the end of the course, students will complete a comprehensive departmental final exam.

  
Prerequisite: MAT104-College Algebra with Trigonometry I or equivalent
