MAT 205 - Technical Mathematics II  - 4 credits

This is the second course in a two-semester sequence of intermediate algebra and trigonometry with technical applications.  Course topics include exponents and radicals, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions of any angle, graphs of the sine and cosine functions, vector addition and applications, oblique triangles, complex numbers and their applications, an introduction to statistics, and an intuitive approach to calculus.  The use of a graphing calculator is required for this course to further the exploration of these topics and their applications. 

Prerequisite: MAT 105 – Technical Mathematics I

NOTE: This is the same text that was used in MAT105 in Fall 2011. You do NOT need to buy a new textbook and/or MyMathLab Student Access Kit if you purchased and retained your book from Fall 2011. You will use your same login and password for MML as you did in MAT105.
