Summer Historical Workshop:
Benedict Arnold in the South Lake
Champlain Region
July 23-27, 2007
School
teachers, business people: especially those involved in the tourist industry,
and other historically and culturally interested individuals will find this
program quite fascinating. This
workshop will focus on Benedict Arnold and the Revolutionary War.
Special attention will be given to the importance of site visitation in
the translation of tangible history.
After
completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

Create
a curriculum or program utilizing local historical resources and sites
·
Conduct
local historical field trips or tours that focus on the Benedict Arnold and the
Revolutionary War.

Network
with national and local historians, museum and site experts, and education
professionals

generous grant from the South Lake Champlain Trust, Inc.
The Agenda
Monday, July 23 - Friday, July 27
During
the five days, site visitations will include: Lake Champlain Maritime Museum,
Fort Ticonderoga, Saratoga National Battlefield, & Skenesborough.
Transportation, site admission, and lunches will be provided.

Cost:
$125 The registration fee includes
morning and break refreshments, lunches, site admissions, and transportation for
this five-day program.

Credits
In-service
credits are available through the North Country Teachers Resource Center.
Fees for registration and in-service credits are the responsibility of
the participant. For in-service
credit, please check first with your district office and contact the NCTRC.
